Dr. Esra YILDIZ ÜSTÜN graduated from Kocaeli University, School of Law in 2010 with honors before receiving a full scholarship for graduate studies from the Turkish Ministry of National Education to undertake postgraduate study during the period 2012-2018. She received her LL.M in International Investment Arbitration from the Queen Mary, University of London (2013). She holds Ph.D degree from the University of Exeter (2018) which is about enforcement issue of the ICSID awards. The title of her dissertation is “Faciliating Enforcementof International Investment Dispute Awards,” Her research interests lie largely in ICSID Arbitration and she has previously explored the subject in a series of national and international academic publications.

Dr Esra YILDIZ ÜSTÜN is a lecturer in Ataturk University, School of Law. She is a registered lawyer in the Istanbul Bar Association (2011), holds professional memberships in the fields of international investment arbitration, commercial arbitration and maintains associations with Young ICSID, LCIA, OGEMID, ISTAC, ISTA and ICC. She also provides legal consultancy to law firms in particular in execution of international arbitral awards, foreign direct investment, all aspects of private international law.
She is currently an active contributor to Jus Mundi (Wiki Notes) and Turkish Law Blog.
